Velmurugan Nallusamy of Chennai, India has won Gold medal in the recently concluded 10th FIDE World Cup in Chess Composition 2022 in Retro section. The tourney is organized by FIDE every year in eight sections with an objective to develop and promote chess composition. The composer was presented with a World Cup, a medal, prize money and a certificate (signed by the President FIDE) at the World Chess Congress meet in Fujirah, UAE in November 2022.
