IM Savitha Shri Baskar scored an unbeaten 7.5/9 points to become the Asian Women’s Individual Chess Champion 2026. Savitha started the tournament on the 6th rank with a rating of 2374. She played tremendous chess and scored 2 consecutive wins in the last 2 rounds to clinch the title. Savitha played with a performance rating of 2555 and increased rating by 19.5 points, taking it to 2395! With this win, Savitha also qualified for the FIDE Women’s World Cup 2027.
