Congratulations to Team India for winning Silver medal in Open Team & Bronze medal in Women Team at 46th Chess Olympiad 2026 at Samarkand, Uzbekistan
Indian men team won silver medal and Indian women team won bronze medal in the 46th FIDE Chess Olympiad 2026 held at Samarkand, Uzbekistan from 16th to 27th September 2026.
Men Team
India’s Open team featured some of the strongest players in world chess:

- GM Nihal Sarin
- GM D Gukesh
- GM Vidit Santosh Gujrathi
Women team
India’s Women team featured some of the strongest players in world chess:
- GM Koneru Humpy
- GM R Vaishali
- GM Divya Deshmukh
- IM Vantika Agrawal
- IM B Savitha Shri
Among the above players four of them are from Tamil Nadu State, GM D Gukesh and GM R Praggnanandhaa in the men team and GM Vaishali R and IM Savitha Shri B in the women team.
