IM P Shyaam Nikhil wins 18th Tamil Nadu IM Norm Closed Circuit Chess Tournaments
At the end of the final round in the 18thTamil Nadu IM Norm Closed Circuit Chess Tournament organised by Tamil Nadu State Chess Association, Coimbatore District Chess Association and Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering &Technology, Pollachi at Bharat Ratna C. Subramaniam Hall, in MCET Campus, Pollachi there was a three way clash for the first prize between IM Shyaamnikhil, IM Sitnikov Anton and G Aakash with six points each and better tie break score helped Shyaam to lift the winner trophy.. IM Sitnikov Anton and G. Aakash were second and third respectively.
At the prize distribution function Shri. C. Ramasamy, Secretary, NIA, Pollachi was the Chief Guest and distributed the prizes. Mr. R. Ananthram, Vice President, TNSCA, Mr. V. Vijayaraghavan, Vice President, TNSCA, Mr. Suresh Chandra Sahoo, Chief Arbiter were also present at the Prize Distribution function. Mr. Dhanasekar, Secretary, Coimbatore District Chess Association welcomed the gathering and Mr. V. Vijayaraghavan proposed vote of thanks.
