Tamil Nadu State Chess Association Examination for the title of State Arbiter
Tamil Nadu State Chess Association has planned to organize the examination leading to the title of Tamil Nadu State Arbiter at seven different centers on 8th January 2023 and 22nd January 2023. Any chess enthusiast interested in the field of chess arbitration and who has completed 16 years of age as on 8th January 2023 for the first batch and 22nd January 2023 for the second batch are eligible to appear for the examination.

Only those who have attained the title of State Arbiter will be permitted to officiate as arbiter in state level unrated tournaments, apart from SNAs/FAs/IAs. The registration fee for the examination is Rs.1000/- (Rs. One thousand only).

The payment receipt along with the duly filled in application form (downloadable from tamilchess.com website) on or before 4th January 2023 for the exam on 8th and 18th January 2023 for the 22nd exam. Only applications recommended by the respective district associations will be entertained. Application forms without the choice of the center will be rejected.
Though the examination will be preceded by a doubt clearing session in the morning by a prominent international arbiter, the candidates have to prepare themselves before their arrival for the examination. The doubt clearing session may not be a lecture and need not cover the entire syllabus. The course material can be downloaded from here.
