Dhanyashree R of Thoothukudi emerged as champion of 55th Tamil Nadu State Women Chess Championship 2026.
This women championship was organised by Thoothukudi District Chess Association at Annammal College of Education for Women, Thoothukudi from 10th to 14th June 2026. Rs.1 lakhs was the total cash prize. A total of 129 female players participated in this mega event.
Miss Dhanyashree R of Thoothukudi lifted the champion trophy followed by Miss Ratnapriya K of Chennai and WFM Keerti Shree Reddy of Chengalpattu stood 2nd & 3rd respectively.
