Please refer to the decision made in the Central Council meeting of the Federation held on 15/10/2019 regarding change in Tie Break Rules for Swiss Events.
As there were not many events happened in the year 2020 due to pandemic, the change in tie break rules with effect from 01 January 2020 not received much needed attention by all stakeholders.
The following tie break rules will be applicable for all the FIDE Rated Swiss Events under AICF.
1. Buchholz Cut 1
2. Buchholz
3. Sonneborn-Berger
4. Direct encounter
5. The greater number of wins including forfeits
6. Number of wins with Black pieces
