Tamil Nadu State Chess Association proposes to organise the examination for the title of State Arbiter at the following four Districts / dates / Venues mentioned below:

Any chess enthusiast from Tamil Nadu State with knowledge in the game of Chess and willing to serve as arbiter in state level chess tournaments is eligible to apply. The participants must have completed 18 years of age on 1st April 2018.
The filled application form must be routed through the respective District Chess Associations and recommended by respective District Chess Associations. The applications must reach the Tamil Nadu State Chess Association, Room no: 75, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Periamet, Chennai – 600 003 before 26th March 2018.
A doubt clearing session by two International Arbiters will be held in the morning, followed by an examination in the afternoon.
Reporting & registration: 9.00 AM
Doubt clearing session: 09.30 AM
Examination: 02.00 to 04.00 PM (15 multiple choice & 10 short answer type questions)
Those who are successful in the examination, registration with TNSCA as Arbiter is compulsory. Only those having the title of State Arbiter or higher title (SNA, FA & IA) will be permitted to serve as arbiters in state and district level tournaments.
Lunch / refreshments will be provided to all participants.
The registration fee for the examination is Rs.1,000/- (One Thousand Only). Payment has to be made by DD in favour “Tamil Nadu State Chess Association”, payable at Chennai or by money transfer to the following bank account

The examination will be of two hours duration, with 15 multiple choice questions and 10 short answer type questions. The course material has to be downloaded by the participants from http://www.tamilchess.com. The participants are instructed to prepare well before attending the doubt clearing session.
