The fifth edition of Sreevatsa Viswanathan Vivekananda Vidyalaya Tamilnadu State level Children Chess Tournament was held at SVVV School, Chitlapakkam,Chennai-64 on 21st & 22nd January 2017. SVVV School and Mount Chess Academy jointly organized this Tournament. Main sponsor for this event was SVVV School, Chennai and they provided free hospitality to officials, arbiters and also sponsored the entire prize cups worth of Rs.40, 000 & 10 Smart phones for category winners.This event attracted 625 participants from various parts of Tamilnadu including 149 International rated players and many state level players.
On the Prize giving ceremony on 22nd January Sri. Singaram, Industrialist, Karaikudi presided over the function and distributed the prizes in the presence of Mr Ganesh, Correspondent, SVVV School.
