Second seeded International Master Vijayalakshmi Subbaraman (Air India) maintained the lead with 7.0 points after the eighth round of the 43rd National Women Challengers Chess Championship 2016 at Nehru Stadium, Chennai here today. Vijayalakshmi showed greater experience in scoring over young Divya Lakshmi in the top board.
Following Vijayalakshmi at 6,5 points were WGM Swati Ghate (LIC) and WIM Vaishali R (TN) respectively. Swati stopped Pratyusha while Vaihali scored over Saranya.
