International Master RamanathanBalaSubramanian of ICF lifted the 15thAdyar Times FIDE rated Open Chess Tournament Trophy which got concluded today at Dr.MGRJanaki College of Arts and Science for Women.In the ninth and the final round Balasubramanian defeated B.Vignesh to stand clear first with 8 points.The champion carried home the prize money of Rupees Twenty Five Thousand.Balasubramanian had earlier won this coveted title in the year 2002 and again in the year 2005.In a two way tie for the second place International Master C.Praveen Kumar also from ICF with 7.5 points was adjudged second on account of better tie place.Third place went to P.Saravana Krishnan of KarurVsya Bank.
ShriA.D.Ranjan,Editor&Publisher gave away the prizes to the prize winners.
