Grandmaster R Vaishali was felicitated with a memento by the Tamil Nadu State Chess Association in recognition of her remarkable triumph at the FIDE Women’s Candidates 2026. The ceremony celebrated her outstanding achievement and contribution to Indian chess on the global stage. She is the first women from Tamil Nadu to win the women candidates.

Manuel Aaron, Arjuna Awardee, India’s First International Master, Shri. M.V.M. Velmohan, Correspondent of Velammal Educational Institutions, Grandmaster Ramesh R B, Dronacharya Awardee, Shri. D.V. Sundar, former Vice President of FIDE and her brother, Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa, one of the world’s leading young super grandmasters. along with other TNSCA office bearers and her proud family members.
