19th Tamil Nadu IM Norm Closed Circuit Chess Tournament
IM Anton Wins
At the end of the final round of 19th Tamil Nadu IM Norm Closed Circuit Chess Tournament organised by Tamil Nadu State Chess Association and Tirupur District Chess Association held at Fortune Park, Tirupur. Ukarainian IM Sitnikov Anton became the winner with 7 points by defeating IM Avinash Ramesh who finished second with 6 points. Third prize was bagged by IM Gochelasvili David with 5.5 points.
At the Prize distribution function Shri K.P.K. Selvaraj, President, Tirupur District Chess Association was the Chief Guest and distributed the prizes. Dr. Ramesh, Joint Secretary, Tamil Nadu State Chess Association, Mr. M. Ephrame, Chief Arbiter, Mr. T.R. Sivan, Secretary, Tirupur DCA, Mr. Rajendran, Treasurer, Tirupur DCA, Mr. Srivatsan, Tournament Coordinator and Mr. Shanmugam from Tirupur were also present for the prize distribution function.
