The 1st SCA State Level Childrens Chess Tournament .was conducted on 21th and 22nd September, 2019 at Vaigai Institution,Muthampatti (po),Valapadi TK, Salem Dt.. The tournament was inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr. N.Muthusamy Correspondent, Mrs. A. Anusha Msc., M. phil. Principal, Vaigai Institution, Other dignitaries present on the dais were Mr. D.V.Nithiyanandan Phd, Asst. Professor Periyar University.
The tournament was conducted in Swiss system with a time control of 30 minutes for each player. The event attracted 329 players in total. The tournament was conducted for 4 categories separate Boys & Girls :Under 8, Under 10, Under 12, Under 18-+. The top 02 players in age categories were awarded with Bicycles and remaining 09 players were awarded cups. U06 all 40 Players were awarded cups and U06 top two Players were awarded Cycles for a boy & Girl. In Under 06 Boys Hem Harsanth from Namakkal won the Cycle and U06 Girls Jinisha Anbuselvan from Trichy won the Cycle. In Under 08 Boys category, Meyyappan M from Coimbatore won the Title and got the Cycle and U08 Girls Category Lakshana Subramanian from Sivagangai won the title and got the Cycle. In Under 10 Boys category, Arulprakash N from Madurai won the Title and got the Cycle and U09 Girls Category Vidula Anbuselvan from Trichy won the title and got the Cycle. In Under 12 Boys category, Nandish V S from Coimbatore won the Title and got the Cycle and U09 Girls Category Sahana S M from Salem won the title and got the Cycle. In Under 18 Boys category, National U10 Champion Aakash G from Coimbatore won the Title and got the Cycle and U09 Girls Category Srimozhi S from Erode won the title and got the Cycle. Mr. N.Muthusamy, Correspondent, Vaigai Institution, Mr.Prof . A.Anantharam IA, ,Mr .M.Senthilvel IA, Joint Secretary, TNSA, Mr. N.Arun, Secretary, SLM DCA were the Chief Guest of the Prize Distribution function and they distributed the prizes to the players.
