The Tournament was Organised by Champion Chess Academy & Genius Chess Club, Salem, The Tournament was held from 6^th August to 7^th August 2016 at Dhansiva Kalyana Mandapam, Salem.

A Total No. of 418  participated, in this 91 players are rated and the top seed is Sathish Chandra G of KNCET.

On 7^th August, Prize Distribution function was held, Mr. Chandran, Mr.Hayath Bhasha, Mr. Taj Bhasha, Industrialists, Mr. Balakrishnan, Vice President SDCA, Mr.N.Arun, Secreatary, SDCA, Mr.Sudhersan,Treasurer, SDCA gave away the prizes to the Winners, in the presence of Mr.Sunderraj, Principal, Suba Matric School, Mr.Arul Raj, Co-ordinator, St.Thomas Matric School, Sivasubramanian.B Secretary Champions Chess Academy, Mr. P.PALANIAPPAN,IA. TOTAL 108 Prizes were distributed. The Organisers gave additional Special prizes to all U-7 Players.
