Tamil Nadu State Chess Association is organizing the 9th Chennai Open International Grandmaster Chess Tournament 2017 for the Sakthi Group Dr.N.Mahalingam Trophy from 18th to 25th January, 2017 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai with a total prize fund of Rupees 11, 00,000/- (Rupees Eleven lakhs only).
Entry for GM, IM, WGM, WIM and for players with FIDE rating above ELO 2400 is FREE. Entries are received at the Tamil Nadu State Chess Association, Hall No.75, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Periamet, Chennai -600 003 (Ph:044-25384477, email:tnchesstmt@gmail.com).
